Va a llover

The weatherman said that it would rain today. I didn’t believe him at first, but now I can see the dark clouds in the sky. I hope that it doesn’t rain too hard, because I don’t have an umbrella. My mom always told me that when it rains, it pours. I hope she’s right this time.

The sky is a deep blue, and the sun is shining. It’s a beautiful day. But there’s a storm brewing. You can see the clouds getting darker and darker. The wind starts to pick up. And then, it starts to rain.

The sky outside is a deep blue and the sun is shining, but Ana knows it’s going to rain. She can smell it in the air. Ana has lived in southern Mexico her whole life and she knows when the weather is about to change.

Ana’s grandmother always used to say that “va a llover” when there was a storm on the horizon. And Ana has learned to trust her grandmother’s intuition.
